OPJCC Campuses

Throughout the country, World Youth Skills Day was celebrated to raise awareness of the need for skilled workforce for economic growth and social development.  The national target is 40 crores persons trained by 2022.  OPJCC is doing its part, training school drop-outs, the unemployed, women, and vulnerable youths from Naxal areas in market-demand trades like construction, hospitality, and manufacturing.  OPJCC Angul Principal Gopal Pradhan was the official chief guest at the state-sponsored World Youth Skills Day event in Odisha. The District Collector, Raigarh Employment officer, local Labour Commissioner, and MLA graced the celebration at Punjipathra and distributed joint OPJCC and GOI training certificates to PMKVY trainees, as well as Labour Department training stipends to women trainees in construction.  Barbil and Uchringa/Patratu OPJCCs also celebrated in a grand way in partnership with government, JSPL staff, and industry stakeholders.  Skilling India must lead to the skills employers want, more productivity, and profits for industry, as well as opportunities for meaningful work for trainees.
